Cancel a machine import (within 24 hours)
Did you notice a mistake in the file after the import? The latest import can be cancelled for 24 hours.
Step 1 : Right after the import, from the report
In the end-of-import report, click “Cancel this import”. This button only appears if machines were created.
Step 2 : Later, from the Machines page
If you closed the window, open “Machines”: for 24 hours, a “Recent import” banner stays at the top of the page, with the “Cancel this import” and “Hide” buttons. Click “Cancel this import”.
Step 3 : Confirm
A confirmation window reminds you that the machines created by this batch (with no intervention or fault) will be deleted permanently. Confirm to continue.
Step 4 : Read the result
KALEA states how many machines were deleted and how many were kept because they have a history.
Good to know
- Only the batch's machines with no intervention and no reported fault are removed. Once 24 hours have passed since creation, they are kept.
- Cancelling only removes machines that were created: it does not undo updates made to machines already present, nor the categories created by the import.
- Careful: “Hide” makes the banner disappear, and the cancel button with it.
- The banner is remembered on the device and browser used for the import: on another device, it does not appear.
- Only the manager can import and cancel an import.
- To remove a single machine afterwards: see archive or restore or delete a machine.
