Change your login email address
The login address is changed in “My account”. So that a session left open cannot be used to hijack the account, KALEA asks for your current password, then a confirmation by email.
Step 1 : Open the credentials section
In “My account”, open “Login & credentials”. “Current login email” shows the current address.
Step 2 : Enter the new address
Type it in “New login email”.
Step 3 : Confirm with your password
Type your current password in “Confirm with current password”. The “Show” button lets you read it back.
Step 4 : Send the request
Click “Update email”. KALEA shows “Request sent. Open the confirmation link you received by email: the new address will only become active after confirmation.”
Step 5 : Open the confirmation link
In your mailbox, open the link you received. Until you open it, your old address stays active.
Good to know
- Possible messages: “This is already the current address.”, “Enter your current password to confirm.” and “Incorrect password.”.
- To receive maintenance reminders at another address, use receive reminders by email instead: it is a separate setting.
