Set up maintenance reminders by email
KALEA sends an email when a due date comes close. The message is sent by the server: it arrives even if the app is closed. The setting is in the reminders section.
Step 1 : Open the reminders
In the menu, open “Account”, then the “Reminders & notifications” tab. On a phone: “More”, then “Reminders & notifications”. The block is called “Receive reminders by email”.
Step 2 : Enter the address
Write the address in “Alert destination address”. As long as no address of its own is saved, the account's address is only suggested in the field.
Step 3 : Turn the channel on or off
Tick “Receive reminders by email” to receive reminders. Untick the box, or leave the address empty, to stop receiving them.
Step 4 : Save
Tap “Save email preferences”, even if the suggested address suits you: without this save, the channel stays “Channel inactive”. A message confirms it, for example “Settings saved: reminders will be sent to this address.”
Step 5 : Set each machine's advance notice
The notice is set machine by machine: in “Edit the machine”, section “Tracking mode & maintenance due dates”, the “Rappel avant” field. KALEA warns you when the due date enters that window.
Good to know
- These settings are reserved to the manager (Administrator or Director). For other members, the fields are greyed out and a message says so: “These settings are reserved for the manager.”
- For the same machine, KALEA does not send more than one email a day.
- The email is written in the company's language.
- An obviously wrong address is refused: “This email address is not valid: no reminder could be sent.”
- You receive nothing although everything is set? See I do not receive my reminders.
