I do not receive my maintenance reminders
A reminder that does not arrive almost always has a simple cause. Here are the points to check, in order.
Step 1 : Is the channel on?
Open “Account”, “Reminders & notifications” tab. The “Email alert channel” tile and the badge of the “Receive reminders by email” block must show “Active” / “Channel active”. If not, see set up email reminders.
Step 2 : Is the address saved?
An address that is only suggested in the field is not enough: tap “Save email preferences”. Also look in the mailbox's junk folder.
Step 3 : Is the due date inside the reminder window?
The reminder is sent only when the due date enters the machine's advance notice (the “Rappel avant” field in “Edit the machine”). A due date still far away triggers nothing.
Step 4 : Does the machine have a meter and a due date?
For a machine tracked by meter, KALEA compares the reading with the due value: with no reading (“Counter to enter”) it cannot announce anything. Enter the meter on the machine's card (see correct the meter).
Step 5 : On the phone: is the permission granted?
Notifications exist only in the Android app. In “Reminders & notifications”, check the switch and the permission message: “Permission denied: Android will not show any notification. You can grant it in the app settings.” The “Test the local reminder now” button schedules a test notification, which should arrive within a minute. For due-date push notifications, also check that the company has turned them on and that your access level is targeted (see choose who receives notifications).
Good to know
- The phone's local reminders only concern dated due dates, never meter-tracked machines.
- They can arrive a few minutes late: the app does not use Android's exact alarms.
- If everything is right and nothing arrives, write to us from “Help & support” and tell us which machine is concerned.
A question?
Can't find the answer? In the app, open “Help & support” and write to us: the team replies in the same screen. You can also email support@kalea.pro.
