Low-stock level and alerts
KALEA flags parts whose stock gets too low. To do so, you need to tell it from which quantity: this is the part's low-stock level.
Step 1 : Set the part's level
In the catalogue, edit the part (see add a part to the catalogue) and fill in “Low threshold (optional)”. A part with no level is never counted as an alert.
Step 2 : Spot the alert in stock
In “Stock & Service”, “Parts” tab, “Stock by warehouse” view: a line whose quantity is equal to or below the level carries the red “Low threshold” label. The tiles at the top count the “References on alert”.
Step 3 : Spot the alert elsewhere
On the dashboard, a tile shows the “References below threshold”. On a phone, a dot appears on the “Stock & Service” line of the “More” menu.
Step 4 : Order
On the line in alert, tap “Order”: KALEA opens the “Orders” tab and prepares an order for this part. See order and receive parts.
Step 5 : Export the stock status if needed
In the “Stock by warehouse” view, tap “Export as CSV”: you get a file with the reference, the description, the warehouse and the quantity (and, depending on your access level, the value).
Good to know
- The quantity is compared to the level line by line, that is for each part in each warehouse.
- The “Order” button only appears for the Administrator, Director, the “Management access” level and the “Purchasing rights” level.
- The “Overview” tab (“Needs at risk” block) complements the level alert: it shows the parts of maintenance kits whose stock will not cover upcoming maintenance. See maintenance kit and task parts.
