Link parts or a maintenance kit to a task
A maintenance kit gathers the parts needed for one service step (for example an oil change). Linked to a task, it lets KALEA anticipate needs. This feature is part of the “Stock & Service” module, available depending on your plan: see the plans page.
Step 1 : Open the kits
In the menu, open “Stock & purchasing” then “Stock & Service”, “Settings” tab, “Maintenance kits” section. Only the manager (Administrator or Director) can create or edit a kit.
Step 2 : Create the kit
Tap “New kit”. Give it a “Kit name”, then add the “Kit parts”: one catalogue part and a quantity per line (“Add a line” to add more). Tap “Save the kit”: “Kit created”.
Step 3 : Open the plan page
In “Machines”, tap the machine's banner to open its page (see read the maintenance plan). In the table, the “Linked parts” column has a button for each task.
Step 4 : Link the kit or a part to the task
Tap “Link maintenance parts” (on a small screen: “Link parts”). Choose a “Maintenance kit”, or a “Single catalogue part (without creating a kit)” with its “Quantity”. The two choices exclude each other. Tap “Save”.
Step 5 : See the effect in the preparation
In the agenda, the “Parts & consumables preparation” card shows for these parts whether the stock is enough (« Stock » suivi de la quantité disponible et du besoin) or when to order (« Commander avant le » suivi d'une date). In “Stock & Service”, the “Overview” tab lists the “Needs at risk”.
Good to know
- Linking a kit does not change any due date.
- To say when to order, KALEA needs the part's supply lead time; otherwise it writes “Lead time not set”.
- Only the manager has the link button; other members see the name of the linked kit.
- A deactivated kit is no longer offered on machine pages: untick “Active kit (can be offered on a machine record)” when editing the kit.
