Average use and estimated dates for a meter-tracked service
A machine tracked by meter has no due date: it has a value to reach. KALEA can still estimate a date, from the usage rhythm your readings show.
Step 1 : Take regular readings
The more often you read the meter, the more reliable the estimate is (see correct a machine's meter).
Step 2 : Read the “Utilisation moyenne” line
Open the machine's page (see read the maintenance plan): under the three cards, a line gives the rhythm per day and the period of the readings. While readings are missing, it says: “Average usage: to be established (at least 2 meter readings a week apart are needed)”
Step 3 : Be careful with a fragile estimate
With few readings, or over a short period, KALEA adds “estimate still fragile”. Take the date as an indication then.
Step 4 : Find the estimated dates
They appear for parts linked to a kit: in the parts preparation, “Commander avant le” followed by a date is completed by “(estimated)” (see link parts to a task). The agenda shows no estimated date: these machines stay under “Counter tracking”.
Step 5 : Follow the dashboard alerts
The “Overdue readings” tile flags a machine with no reading for longer than usual; depending on your plan, “Faster usage” flags a machine wearing faster than expected. Each alert offers “Open the record” or to postpone it.
Good to know
- An estimate is never a due date: the real due date stays the meter's (see why my due date changed).
- No date is shown when the rhythm is unknown or unrealistic: KALEA prefers saying nothing to being wrong.
- This feature depends on your set-up: if the line stays “to be established” despite readings, write to us from “Help & support”.
