Report a fault on a machine
Any team member can report a fault in a few seconds. The manager is notified in the app and, if they have the Android app, by a notification on their phone.
Step 1 : Open the report
On a phone, tap the + button in the bottom bar (it is called “Quick actions” for the manager and “Enter” for management and data-entry access), then “Report a fault”. With management or data-entry access, the “Fault” tile in the “To do now” section of the dashboard also opens the report.
Step 2 : Choose the machine
A list opens: type a few letters in the search field to find the machine, then tap it.
Step 3 : Describe the fault
In “What is happening?”, write in a few words what you see (for example: oil leak under the engine). The description is required.
Step 4 : Give the severity and the stoppage
Under “Severity”, choose “Minor”, “Major” (ticked by default) or “Blocking”. Tick “The machine is stopped” if it can no longer work.
Step 5 : Send
Click “Send report”. A message confirms that the fault is reported and that the manager is notified.
Good to know
- Without a network, the fault is kept on your device: KALEA tells you so, then sends it by itself when the network returns, with no duplicates. The manager is notified at that moment.
- The notification goes to the phones (Android app) of the company's managers: administrator and director.
- Fault follow-up is reserved for the manager and management access: see follow up and resolve a fault.
- A report does not change the due-date status shown for the machine in the list.
