Scan a QR code to open a machine
In front of the machine, scan its QR code: its record opens right away, with no searching through the list.
Step 1 : Open the scanner
In “Machines”, click “Scan a QR code”. On a phone, tap “Scan” in the bottom bar (management and data-entry access), or the + button then “Scan a QR code”.
Step 2 : Allow the camera
The first time, your phone or browser asks for permission to use the camera. Accept. If access is refused, KALEA invites you to check your phone or browser settings.
Step 3 : Aim at the QR code
Hold the QR code in front of the camera. As soon as it is read, the window closes and the machine's record opens.
Another route: with the phone's camera
You can also scan the QR code with your phone's usual camera, without opening KALEA first. The QR code opens KALEA; once you are signed in, the machine's record appears.
Good to know
- The scanner depends on your plan. Otherwise, KALEA offers to change plan: see the plans page.
- A QR code that is neither a machine's nor a KALEA stock label's is refused with a message, and scanning continues.
- An unknown machine, or one from another company, gives the message “Machine not found or not accessible”.
- The camera is always switched off when you close the scanner window.
- To generate a machine's QR code: print or download the QR code.
