Choose or change a maintenance task's frequency
Some manuals give several frequencies depending on use (for example “Professional” or “Occasional”). KALEA does not guess: it asks you to choose. You can also change a task's frequency later.
Step 1 : Spot the task
Open the machine's page (see read the maintenance plan). In the “Due date” column, the task has a “Choose”, “Specify” or “Edit” button. Tasks to settle are also grouped in the “Intervals to confirm” card, with the “Choose the interval” button.
Step 2 : Take an option from the manual
In “Options extracted from the manufacturer's manual”, tap “Choose this option” on the frequency that matches your use. The option already chosen is marked “Currently selected”.
Step 3 : Or enter your own value
In “Free customisation”, fill in “Value” and “Unit” (“hours”, “km”, “days” or “months”), then tap “Apply this value”.
Step 4 : Or keep a simple check point
Tap “Keep as a checkpoint (no due date)”: the task stays visible and can be ticked during a service, but its due date is no longer calculated.
Step 5 : Check the result
The page reopens. The task's due date, then the plan's, are recalculated.
Good to know
- This choice can move the plan's due date, and so the machine's rank in the agenda and on the dashboard: see why my due date changed.
- If the chosen unit is not tracked by the machine (for example kilometres on a machine tracked by calendar), KALEA adds a second tracking by itself and asks for the current reading: “Add this tracking”. See a second meter.
- When the second tracking cannot be added, the task stays a check point with no automatic due date; the window says so before you save.
- A value in a different unit from the plan's gives the task its own due date, but it does not count towards the plan's due date.
- An empty or zero value is refused: “Enter a value greater than zero.”
