KALEA

Getting started: add your first machine

When an account is created, the dashboard is empty: “No machine tracked yet”. That is normal. Here is how to get started.

  1. Step 1 : Find the add button

On the “Dashboard”, the “Next service” card says “Nothing to report” and offers the “Add a machine” button. On a phone, the round “+” button in the bottom bar (“Quick actions”) opens the same action. On a computer, this button is also at the top of the screen.

  2. Step 2 : Describe the machine

A window opens: describe the machine by filling it in. You can always correct it later (see edit a machine).

  3. Step 3 : Or import your list from a spreadsheet

If you already have your fleet list in a spreadsheet, open “Machines”: the empty screen offers “Import machines”. This button is reserved for the administrator and the director.

  4. Step 4 : Upload the maintenance manual

On a computer, the dashboard offers a drop zone; on a phone, the “Upload a PDF manual” button. Send the manufacturer's PDF there: KALEA extracts the due dates and suggests a maintenance plan (see the maintenance manual).

Good to know

  • Depending on your plan, the number of machines you can track may be limited. When the limit is reached, KALEA opens the “KALEA plans” window instead of the add window. The details are on the plans page.
  • The “Schedule” and “Machines” screens stay empty as long as there is no machine: they fill up as soon as the first machine is added.
  • Cannot see the add button? See I cannot see a screen or a button.
