Log a breakdown or a fuel expense
Depending on your plan, the intervention window offers three types: a service planned in the maintenance plan, a breakdown (a repaired fault) or an expense (fuel, transport…). If you do not see these three cards, the window is used for scheduled services only.
Step 1 : Open the intervention window
Tap “Log an intervention” on the machine's card (see log an intervention).
Step 2 : Choose the type
In “1. Intervention type”, tap the card you need: “Planned maintenance”, “Repair / Corrective” or “Expenses & fuel”. The fields in the window change with your choice.
Step 3 : For a breakdown, describe the fault
Fill in “Failed mechanical component” (or choose “Other…” to write a new one), then “Severity on site”: “Machine down (Stopped)” or “Partial / Degraded”. Finally write “Fault diagnosis & corrective action”. These three items are required.
Step 4 : For an expense, give the type and the amount
Choose “Expense type”: “Site diesel refuel”, “Machine transport (Low-loader)”, “Periodic regulatory inspection (VGP)” or “Hydraulic oil top-up”. Enter “Quantity / Litres” and the unit price. The amount must be above zero.
Step 5 : Confirm
Click the button at the bottom of the window. KALEA confirms with “Repair saved” or “Expense saved”.
Good to know
- A breakdown does not tick any task of the plan: the service due date does not move. A repaired fault does not replace the planned oil change.
- An expense needs no meter reading and no task, and does not change the due date. It does not appear in the service history, but in the “Operating costs” card on the machine's page.
- You only want to warn your manager about a fault, without logging anything? Use the quick action “Report a fault”: it notifies the manager (machine, severity, stopped or not).
