Log a maintenance intervention

An intervention is a service done on a machine: what you checked or replaced, on what date, at what meter reading. Logging it brings the maintenance plan up to date.

  1. Step 1 : Open the intervention window

In “Machines”, tap “Log an intervention” on the machine's card (on a small screen the button is called “Service”). The same button is on the machine's page. On the dashboard, “Mark as done” opens the same window with the task already ticked.

  2. Step 2 : Check the date and the meter

Check “Intervention date”: it is today's date by default. For a machine tracked by meter, enter “Counter reading”; the last known value is suggested. If the machine has a second meter, a field for that second meter appears too.

  3. Step 3 : Tick what was done

In “Items handled & operations”, tick each item that was checked or replaced. “Check all” ticks them all at once.

  4. Step 4 : Say who did it and add remarks

In “Assigned operator”, choose the person who did the service (default: “Not specified”). If needed, write a note in “Notes”.

  5. Step 5 : Confirm

Click the button at the bottom of the window. Its name depends on your plan and your screen: “Save the intervention”, “Confirm and add to TCO” or, on a phone, “Confirm”. KALEA confirms with “Service logged” and announces the next alert.

Good to know

  • Only the tasks you ticked move forward. The others keep their due date: an overdue task stays overdue until it is ticked. See why my due date changed.
  • If the reading is lower than the previous one, or much higher than usual, KALEA asks you to confirm. It never blocks you: a replaced meter is a normal case.
  • Without a network, the intervention is kept on the device: “Service saved on the device: it will be sent as soon as the network returns.” Pressing the button twice does not create a duplicate.
  • If your plan does not cover the machine, KALEA says so and offers to change plan: the record stays readable, but nothing can be saved on it. See the plans page.
  • The reading entered here also updates the machine's meter.
