What to do without a network: the “To send” banner

When you do something without a network, KALEA keeps it on your device and sends it as soon as possible. The banner and the “To send” screen show you what is waiting.

  1. Step 1 : Do your action as usual

Log the intervention or report the breakdown as usual: KALEA replies that the action is saved on the device and will go as soon as the network returns. Ticking an order's task does not show this message: the “To send” badge appears on the order.

  2. Step 2 : Spot the banner

A banner appears at the top of the screen: “n action(s) saved on the device, waiting to be sent.”. On the list and the page of a work order concerned, the “To send” badge also appears.

  3. Step 3 : Open the details

Click “View” in the banner. The “To send” window lists each action with its machine, its time and the “Waiting” badge.

  4. Step 4 : Send as soon as the network returns

Sending is automatic when the connection returns, and KALEA shows “n action(s) sent to the server”. To avoid waiting, click “Send now”, in the banner or in the window.

  5. Step 5 : Deal with errors

If an action cannot be sent (for example the machine was deleted), it stays in the list with its reason. Click “Try again” to send it again, or “Discard”: it will then never be sent.

Good to know

  • Signing out with pending actions would lose them: KALEA asks you first, and lets you cancel.
  • Nothing is sent twice, even if the connection drops mid-send: the action resumes where it stopped.
  • A box ticked offline on an order modified in the meantime can end up in error if the task is no longer in the same place.
  • If the stock is no longer sufficient at sending time, the part stays noted in the intervention and KALEA asks you to record it by hand in Stock.
  • The list only shows your own actions.
