Record a stock-in, stock-out or transfer
Whenever a part comes in, goes out or changes warehouse, you note it in a movement. The stock shown stays right, and so does its value.
Step 1 : Open the movement window
In “Stock & Service”, open the “Movements” tab, then tap “New movement”.
Step 2 : Choose the type
“Stock in”: a delivery arrives. “Stock out”: a part leaves. “Transfer”: a part moves from one warehouse to another. “Adjustment”: correct a quantity (reserved for the Administrator and Director).
Step 3 : Give the part, the warehouse and the quantity
Choose the part and the warehouse. For a transfer, the starting warehouse is called “Source store” and you also choose the “Destination store”. Enter the “Quantity”.
Step 4 : Complete according to the type
A stock-in asks for the “Unit cost”: it is the real purchase price, used to compute the average cost of stock. A stock-out can be linked to a machine and an intervention (optional). You can add a reason, for example a delivery note number.
Step 5 : Save
Click “Save the movement”. It appears at the top of the movement log.
Good to know
- If this stock-out was already entered through “Log an intervention”, do not link it here as well: the cost would be counted twice (KALEA says so in the window).
- Movements are reserved for the Administrator, the Director and the “Management access” level.
- Offline, a movement is kept on the device and is sent as soon as the connection returns, except an adjustment, which needs the network.
- A stock line in quarantine or scrapped can no longer be taken out or transferred: see stock location and status.
- Several stock-ins at once? “Import movements (CSV)” loads stock-ins into a single warehouse, with the columns Reference, Quantity, Unit cost and Reason; the reference must already exist in the catalogue.
- The “WAC valuation principle” button, at the top of the screen, explains how the average cost is computed.
